The Forks… Again

If you remember my ice skating rant post, then you know The Forks.

What is The Forks? It’s a lot of things. A meeting place, a market/shopping site, a venue, an occasional skating rink, and many more. To summarise, it’s just a lot of things that somehow and someway — it entices people. I like going there myself, and I don’t know why.

Too beautiful.

The Forks — like I said — is a shopping site as well. Yesterday marked my first day of entering Kite and Kaboodle, which overwhelmed me by the selection of interesting toys. I’m a huge fan of Lego, and the picture above is the sign of my amazement of their Architecture line. I will come back for these, the White House and this other one I can’t remember are in my wishlist.

I also had my first Frogurt today. Unlike all the other frozen yogurts I’ve tasted, this was the first one where the yogurt-y after taste was evident. Maybe it’s the flavour I picked, or maybe that’s the way it is. It’s good, but not my favourite.

Norwood Bridge

We also stumbled upon what I believe is to be Norwood bridge, and I had the opportunity to take a photo of the landscape.

We also passed by the infamous bridge and the naked eye observatory I have yet to see at night. I always wondered what it would look like if I were to be at that open observatory at night — I’ve never tried. But there is time for everything.

Lastly, I would like to note that there is this amazing artist by the Johnston terminal who makes amazing remixes of famous pieces — as well as some of his own originals. His theme reminds me of the whimsical cosmos, that applies even to his renditions of The Beatles and Marilyn Monroe! Very talented man. I wish I could give him more than I did, but I had little to no physical cash with me at that time.

I believe that local artists should have more credit than they do, there’s so much talent waiting to have a name for themselves. If only given the support and encouragement to pursue, will make beautiful things that will be remembered till years after.

Oh, speaking of which, John if you’re reading this — gallery next week?
